NEXT STEPS
If you are new to Christianity, it’s important to understand that surrendering to Jesus as Lord is a lifelong journey of learning what it means to be His disciple. And that transformation does not come simply through learning; it comes through action. We want to help you find the right action step that will help guide you on your spiritual journey. Below are five next steps that we believe will help you begin growing in your relationship with God. Everyone has a next step. What’s yours?

SALVATION
Placing Faith in Jesus
In God’s original design for mankind, we were to live in perfect harmony with our Creator. There was no fear, no sin, no shame, no death. It was a perfect relationship of love and trust. However, that perfect relationship was broken once sin entered the world through one act of disobedience. (Genesis 3) We all fall under the curse of sin, wanting to live life fully on our terms and in our way. That sin separates us from God in many different ways.
But there is hope! God’s heart is to restore our relationship with Him. He doesn’t require us to earn His favor. He offers relational restoration through the sacrifice of His son Jesus. When we choose to believe that Jesus was God incarnate and that his death and resurrection took the penalty for our sin, we are choosing to put our trust back in God. That trust, or faith, results in a relationship restored.

BAPTISM
Making an Outward Declaration of Inner Change
Baptism will not save you, but it is a public declaration of your repentance and faith in God through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Before baptism, you must first accept the gift of salvation by receiving and believing in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Even Jesus Himself was baptized when He started His ministry, as an example for every believer to follow.
Today, Community Fellowship continues Jesus’ command by baptizing members who have made the decision to trust in Jesus and are ready to outwardly demonstrate their inward profession through baptism.
If you are interested in baptism, please fill out the following form and a member of our pastor leadership team will follow up with you.
MEMBERSHIP
Joining the Church Family
Members at Community Fellowship partner with our leadership board, staff, and other members as a family of faith, to grow together that we might show the love of Christ to all. Together we seek to advance this mission through prayer, participation and stewardship.
The membership process includes a two-hour Membership Course and a follow up discussion with a member of our pastoral staff to ensure understanding regarding the mission and values of Community Fellowship. Fill out the form below to register for our next Membership Course.
GROUPS
Growing in Community
As a follower of Jesus, you were never meant to follow Jesus alone. The life God wants for us is one in which we become more like His Son (Romans 12:2; 2 Cor. 3:18). We grow in Christlikeness as we are in community with one another. We like to say that becoming more like Christ is a group project. Within groups we also see the biblical “one anothers” develop: sharing with one another, caring for one another, daring of one another, and prayer over one another. At Community Fellowship, we have various groups you can get involved with, we recommend finding one that fits well with your schedule, but also committing to it.
For more information on groups, please fill out the form below.
SERVING
Serving the Community
We believe that every person at Community Fellowship has been called by God to minister or to serve others. Paul says in Ephesians that each member of the church should be equipped by the leadership to serve so “that the body of Christ may be built up…” (Eph. 2:11-13) To help equip and train our members in recognizing where God has called them to serve, we encourage them to go through our third course in the Next Steps process called Spiritual Gifts.
The Spiritual Gifts Course is specifically designed for members of Community Fellowship seeking to understand how God has uniquely gifted them to serve the church. This course will give members insight into how their personality and gifting can benefit the church’s mission to “grow together to show Christ’s love to all.”
