OUR TEAM

Community Fellowship is led by a team of people with different backgrounds, experiences, and passions. Some are paid by the church, some are not. We are all just wanting to serve our community here in East Bernard by making Christ’s love known.

ELDERS

James has ministered to families for over 25 years serving churches in both Texas and Arkansas.  He is passionate about teaching scripture faithfully and compassionately.  He and his wife Emily have been married for over 20 years and have four incredible daughters: Karis, Mikaela, Rebekah, and Kadence.

He earned his Bachelor’s in Counseling from Texas A&M University in Commerce.  He also earned his Master’s in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary.

James loves all things theology which means you can usually find him reading a good book at Glory Bean Coffee Co.  He is an avid Dallas Stars hockey fan and St. Louis Cardinals fan.  He also loves spending time with his family watching movies around the fire pit.  And if you really want to win him over, he is always down for a good breakfast taco too!

Philip retired from the United States Navy where he served in main propulsion engineering.  He also retired from East Bernard Independent School District as an elementary school educator.

He earned his bachelor’s of science in elementary education from the College of Charleston in South Carolina and a master’s degree in elementary administration from Lamar University in Texas.

He is wildly passionate about God’s glorious Word and loves talking about Jesus more than anything!!

Ronald is semi-retired from his lifelong profession of rice farming in the local area. He was born, raised and educated in the East Bernard area and has a Bachelors Degree of Science in Agricultural Engineering from Texas A&M University.

He came to a saving faith at age 11, but did not fully embrace or realize what that entailed until a time in his mid 20s when he was encouraged to take seriously the Bible as God‘s Word. It was through the study of scripture that his passion was inflamed for encouraging others to study and learn as well from the Word of God. He has served in many various Christian and secular leadership capacities, before he was asked by the charter leadership of Community Fellowship to assume the role of startup Pastor for the then new family of faith. He served in that role for 2 1/2 years at which time the church Board deemed Community Fellowship had grown sufficiently to need a full-time Pastor. From that time until now, Ronald has thoroughly enjoyed being a supporting Pastor alongside James DeWitt and now also Philip Gaudette.

Ronald’s main passion continues to be for engaging individuals in the Word of God trusting that His Word will have its way in them.

Brayden was radically called into ministry 11 years ago as a young child and has grown up dreaming of teaching and discipling students. He is now excited to begin the journey God called him into here at Community Fellowship.

Brayden, his bride Destiny and their new Puppy Kody are all extremely excited for what God has in store for them.

Brayden’s primary love language is quality time, so you’ll often see him cutting up or getting real down to earth with the people that he loves. Another love language of Brayden’s is food. So if you ever want to show some love to him, the way to his heart is truly through his stomach.
