WHO WE ARE

Our Mission

A family of faith, growing together to show Christ’s love to all.

A Family of Faith

At CFEB, we first of all believe, that the church is a family.  It’s not primarily a place or an event.  It’s a community of people committed to Jesus and to one another.  In this family, we need each other.  Each of us has a role, a responsibility, or a part in helping build up God’s people.

Growing Together

Just like any family, we are still growing and still maturing.  We mess up.  We miss it sometimes. This is why we continually give grace to one another because we know the Holy Spirit is still changing us to be more like Jesus.  None of us have arrived, but we are prayerfully pushing each other towards Jesus.

To Show Christ’s Love to All

Yet, it’s not just to each other we extend that grace, but we strive hard to share that grace (the undeserved favor God has given to us) with everyone.  Thus, why we say we are showing Christ’s love to all.

Family Habits

As a family of faith we are committed to living out these 4 habits as we grow together.  Click the heading below to read a description.

Our Values

Our values explain our hearts together. It moves us to live out our family habits that we might fulfill the mission of showing Christ’s love to all.  These values embody and express our philosophy of ministry. Click the heading below to read a description.

We value Christ Jesus above all things finding our value and identity in Him, pursuing relationship with Him as our merciful Savior and conquering Lord.  Our gatherings and groups will focus on Jesus: His person, His work, and His teachings; seeking to bring our lives under His rule.

Hebrews 12:1-2; John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:28

We value prayer and worship together as a place where we are humbled by God’s presence and grace in our lives. In it, we seek to rightfully give Him honor and worth as we surrender to Him the broken and sinful parts of ourselves that need His renewal. In His presence, our hearts are prepared for the Spirit’s leading and direction.

Romans 11:36; Revelation 4:11; Psalm 150; Psalm 51

We value scripture as God’s Word to us.  In it, God communicates to us who He is, what His plan is for the world, and what He requires and expects from us.  The Bible reveals, instructs, rebukes, corrects, and trains us to live lives of holiness.  As we study it, the Holy Spirit helps us to understand it and obey it.

2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12-13; 1 Peter 1:22-25

We value community as the place we are introduced into God’s family. In it, we are transformed by His Holy Spirit who dwells among us as God’s people and is changing us individually and as a church family into the image of Jesus, showing the world the wonder of Christ’s love as people under the gracious reign of Jesus.

Romans 12:3-8; Colossians 3:12-17; Hebrews 10:24-25

We value the family as the first institution designed by God for spiritual formation, relationships, and reflecting His image. In it, we seek to ensure that every element of the greater church family supports, and equips this essential role.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Psalm 127; Ephesians 6:1-4
